What is Hops and Hustle?
Hops and Hustle is a ridiculously fun, pressure-free afternoon on the Maryville Tap Trail. Run it, walk it, or ruck it — no timers, no racing, no stress. Just community, movement, breweries, and earning your pints along the way.
When is the awesome event?
November 28th, 2026, 1PM.
Is it expensive?
Nope. It’s free! Just buy your drinks.
Where does the adventure start?
Starts and finishes at Swara Brewing Company.
Where do we go and how long is the route?
The main loop is 3.3 miles. Swara to Blood Stripe to Tri Hop to Peaceful Side and back to Swara. The Black Horse Challenge adds 1.7 miles out and back from the main loop between Swara and Blood Stripe.
Is there registration?
It’s encouraged but not needed. You and your friends can just show up!
Are there fabulous prizes to win?
Absolutely! The winner of “Five Card Hustle” will win fabulous prizes.
What is “Five Card Hustle”?
It’s a game like poker. You will receive a playing card at each stop, the first one at Swara before you start your journey, and the fifth one again at Swara when you finish. This makes your poker hand of five cards. The best hand wins! If you choose to complete The Black Horse Challenge, you get a 6th card to make your hand. You are allowed to bluff, haggle and trade cards with others making the trek to try and make the best hand, but no double cards are allowed.
What if someone doesn’t like beer and/or moving and/or people and/or games?
Well, you made it this far, so you must like one of those things, so come and enjoy that thing fully and responsibly!
What if I love this so much I want to do it again?
You can! Hops and Hustle is held twice a year, in Spring and Fall. You can also get your pals together and run the Maryville Tap Trail any time of year! The Maryville Tap Trail is open all year long, check the breweries for hours of operation.
